For Sale: 2011 BERING 77
Description
An Australian owned and run steel semi-custom vessel built by Bering Yachts in 2021. This long-range, fuel-efficient expedition trawler with a 4600+ nautical mile range is capable of charter under AMSA DCV (2C & 4C).
This very capable vessel will take you where you dream of at a very low cost. At cruising speed, the vessel uses only 40-42L/hr. Its steel hull and aluminium superstructure this yacht was built for exploration, rarely seen for vessels this size.
Her striking exterior design is muscular and practical, almost military in appearance. The vessel is an extremely reliable ocean crossing vessel. This yacht was built heavy for size which provides a particularly sea-kindly motion that very few motor yachts are capable of delivering. A carefully designed low centre of gravity combined with the sheer mass of the vessel and quad stabiliser fins provides a massive reduction in roll movement and minimised pitching and pounding that so many find unpleasant. This heavy for size approach is well proven in the commercial marine market where vessel weight is really how one defines a vessel’s size as opposed to length.
The impressive bow height suggests a vessel with true trans-oceanic crossing capabilities. The high bow not only ensures a dry ride but also translates into very tall interior proportions allowing headroom of over 2.1m throughout. You will find it hard to believe the cavernous interior volume is provided by a vessel that measures just under 24m LOA. The ample available space allows each owner a large degree of design flexibility.
Each year the vessel has undergone a periodical shipyard maintenance period where many upgrades were done.
Upgrades include;
o Engine HP upgrade for more efficiency and power
o Rear boat deck awning
o Sand Blast, Prime and Antifoul
o Main engine various upgrades
o VSAT V85 upgrade
o Various AMSA survey safety requirements
o Various fabrications
o New pitched props for better efficiency
o StarLink Maritime fitted for worldwide internet coverage at 350Mbps
The owner has spent the money where needed allowing the crew of 3 to keep this vessel well above industry standards.
Remarks: AquaBana pool (5.5×5.5m) to be set up at the rear of the vessel
