Luhrs Description

Originally founded by Henry Luhrs in the 1830s, Luhrs boats was a builder of high-quality fishing boats with a deep vee hull under the Luhrs Marine Group, which owned many other well-known boat brands. Founded in the 1830s by German immigrant Henry Luhrs, the company built top-quality mid-size fishing boats under the umbrella of the Luhrs Marine Group, which also owned and operated Silverton, Mainship and Hunter boats. The boats were built in Millville, NJ, but declared bankruptcy and ceased operations in early 2008 – at the head of the Global Financial Crisis. The boats cost anywhere from $10,000 to over $300,000.
